Well.. 

I thought of the perfect idea for my favor boxes.. 

it hit me while I was driving.. 

like a stroke of genius!

Lately I have been seeing Cake Batter Bark around 

the blogs.. 

so festive.. and chocolate.. 

so tasty.. 

I used this recipe here... 

only I used milk chocolate instead of dark.. 

because I am the only dark chocolate lover I know :(

and it went off pretty easy.. 

First layer.. 

Mixing the cake mix in the chocolate..

Sprinkled and cute.. 

Ready for my boxes.. 

The perfect treat for kids and grown ups alike.. 

(I might have snacked on a few pieces :)

Buzz Party...

In just a few short weeks.. 

my little man will be two.. 

and because of his deep love and passion for 

buzz.. 

we are having a buzz party!

30 Years...

So today my husband is turning the big

3-0!

I have been teasing him that he 

is getting so old...

but in reality it's me a little frightened 

of getting older...

The other day someone asked my age.. 

and I said aloud 26...

in my head all I could hear was.. 

'4 years till 30'...

and for some reason 

it was a little daunting.. 

But today we are celebrating!!!

My plans are to make.. 

chocolate cupcakes 

with peanut butter frosting.. 

yum... 

I only plan to make the frosting homemade though.. 

baking the cake from a box.. 

because that is how I roll.. 

I expect it will be super yummy.. 

I am going to use 

Mrs. Barefoot Contessa's recipe.. 

and hopefully they will turn out like these..

Flower Balls..

Here's a little how-to 

for some fun little

flower balls.. 

I'm using mine for party decor.. 

But you could do them in Christmas paper

and even use them as ornaments.. 

Start with a Styrofoam ball.. 

via the dollar tree

I used a paper punch to punch out some scalloped

pieces of paper.. 

and then formed them around a pencil eraser.. 

Next you just hot glue the paper pieces

onto the ball.. 

making them all fit together so 

that you can really see the ball anymore.. 

Ta-da.. 

I glued some ribbon on them too

for hanging.. 

enjoy!

between Halloween planning and Niece Birthday

planning.

It's been fun, 

and busy.. 

which is good because I love 

me some projects.. 

Anyhoo.. 

If you remember the party is

so I have been pleasantly making 

some fun little decor..

A Year in Photos..

So.. 

I am trying to be clever.. 

and it might just be because it's summertime

But.. it's not really working.. this whole clever thing.. 

I am trying to think of a cute way to display photos of my babe at his party.. 

Since he will be a year.. I wanted to do a year in photos.. 

I found this cute idea.. on Save the Date for Cupcakes.. 

But.. 

I already have cupcake toppers.. 

So.. I am here.. begging for ideas.. =)

and I just purchased paper straws for the party..

I just can't wait till they get here..
